Looks like you've got your wish and BK is gone.

What kind of hire are you anticipating now that the HC role is open? I'll break it down to two categories for simplicity.

1. Splash Hire - This is what Woodward is known for (re: Jimbo and Kelly as his last two football hires). Perhaps Kiffin fits this bill for you.

2. Take a chance on an up and comer. An OC/DC somewhere or a HC with short tenure. Perhaps Durkin at Auburn is a decent example.

Given those categories which are you feeling/interested in more? I ask with the perspective of an Aggie who we made the splash hire back in 2017 for Jimbo. And also a seemingly successful hire of Elko (although we haven't won anything of worth yet).

Which type of hire are you after?

Personally I don't want to hand out another 100M contract with a stupid buyout to a guy who hasnt earned it at LSU. That's what its going to take for Kiffin. And I dont think hes worth tying yourself to such a contract.

I want a guy thats hungry to prove it. Understands the modern game. Driven to win a championship. Not just hoping to coast on his reputation.

The only "splash hire" I'd be interested in is Kiffin. Maybe Dillingham fits that bill as well but I don't know what kind of fit he'd be.

Otherwise, hire a G5 coach like Jon Sumrall or a coordinator, and call it a day.
