I know some KY students were killed drunk driving, but that had nothing to do with the Beer Barrel Trophy.

BOTH schools now sell alcohol at games.

Stop the self-righteous hypocrisy and bring back the tradition.

Are you and kywildcatfanone still sucking each other off while Tennessee fans, players, and coaches service your wives?

Why are you two bitches completely obsessed with Tennessee.

You know whar? Tennessee fans wouldn't bother you near as bad, if you kept your crybaby bitch mouth off of them.

Smokeyone is right. You are insane with obsession.

Keep your punk bitch off of me, and I will leave you alone. Deal?

Why are you so obsessed with Tennessee? Why?

Serious question. Is it the losses? Is it personal? Did something happen at a game or a bar with a UT fan? Why are you obsessed with UT, literally to the point of mental instability. WHY?

You aren't a tennessee fan obviously. The question was "why do you create so many acccounts"? The answer of course is that you continually get banned and have to create more accounts just to spam the board relentlessly and make real Tennessee fans look bad.

Now, let's ask this question, why do you hate real Tennessee fans?

How many accounts have you created at your local library? Whisky, I bet you smell like moonshine with Cheetos and Marlboro Reds.

Bitch I spend more on UT football in one year than you have spent on UK in a lifetime. Want to bring your receipts and your bet money? You can join thje rich4pres loser.

You're the parasite that brags about "I don't give UK a nickel." Yeah, some fan.

Answer the question.

Digging into this a little bit more...there are some crazy things that you run across.

The incident in question was when Kentucky Senior Jason Watts drove drunk and had an accident, which killed 2 of his passengers. Watts was a Senior starter at Center for UK. This occurred in November 1998.

In August 1997 (over a year before), Watts was charged with 1st degree assault, when he shot his roommate/teammate (Omar Smith). It was an accident, because he said he was handing Smith a rifle for protection from a group of people who followed them home in a car. He doesn't seem to have had a habit of making good decisions, and appears to have put others at risk more than once.

Watts was released from Prison in 1999 after serving 7 months of his 10-year sentence, and played (was on the roster) 3 seasons in the NFL & NFL Europe.

After the tragic auto accident, CM Newton made the stand that "Kentucky athletes convicted of drunken driving will be kicked off of teams and lose their scholarships, and the school will sever all scholarship ties with beer, wine and liquor companies"....Newton said "the decision not to renew contracts with Anheuser-Busch, Miller Brewing and Maker's Mark, a Kentucky bourbon manufacturer, will cost the school about $400,000 a year."

In March 2022, receiver Rahsaan Lewis was arrested and charged with DUI. He played in 9 games for Kentucky that season, then he transferred to Georgia Southern.

In May 2022, starting running back Chris Rodriquez was arrested and charged with DUI and carless driving. He missed the first 4 games of that season, so he only had 175 carries and was drafted in the 6th round. He will be playing this weekend for the Washington Generals...so, it seems to have worked out ok for him.

In August 2023, Kroger Field began operating alcohol sales inside the venue.

If we are being honest and sincere, which I get, this is a flaming message board, it's about what it's always about and that is money. Everyone does the same thing. Nothing unique about UK reversing a 25 year old policy. They were serving alcohol in the suite area's when they were built, which was long before 2023.

Imagine if you spent that money on Alabama or Georgia how much more enjoyment you would have had.

The Beer Barrel hiatus was 25 years ago. If the beer barrel symbol is more of a problem than players driving under the influence (which let's be honest...that is what killed the passengers in the car...the beer barrel had nothing to do with that)...then I actually see the OP's point. Anything that goes against the return of the beer barrel that claims to be related to the '98 accident is nothing but lip service at this point.

May as well modernize it. A big 2 liter of Mountain dew better sums up the area both north and south of Cumberland river.
