This staff seems to be getting better & better, together with the team buying in to what
is expected from them. There’s been improvement on both sides of the ball.
I like this staff’s mindset of giving younger guys opportunities to prove they deserve to be on the field.
Some of it has been from injuries, but after fsu…the decision to open up every position to
competition is paying off big now. Performance over seniority.
Also, a couple of you mentioned this on Saturday…but the chess match of timeouts
just before the pick 6, was pretty cool to watch. DeBoer’s last timeout to remind
the players that it was probably going to be a pass regardless of how they lined up
paid off big time. Not sure I’ve ever seen a better use of a free timeout to calm
and refocus the Defense on what to expect.
If this staff keeps improving like they have so far, it’s going to be special.

The resiliency of the players is impressive. We’re still playing like 8 OL the DL is depleted but the young players are improving. DB has been inconsistent at times but Lee and Morgan have stepped up in relief recently.

I really enjoyed the chess match at the end of the 1st half that ultimately led to one of the most exciting plays in BDS history. That was some fun football to watch on Saturday.

Seems the players and coaches are improving weekly. I think they are becoming a hard nosed, smart, competitive team that is tough to defeat.

Really wish the play calling coming out at half had been a little more aggressive.

That's my only complaint from the game. I know they wanted to go into joyless murderball mode, but Tennessee had zero answer for the passing game.

And leave off some of the “trick plays” , especially when we’re moving the ball. We seem to usually lose yardage and kill momentum. Bernard saved our butts Saturday, turning a potential 15 yrd loss into a first down.
