Woah! Blocked punt > picked it up ran it back like 60+ yards for TD to win the game.

I’d read he showed up to camp this season about 20 lb. lighter and ready to rock. Good for him, DGD and a bad mf’er. Doesn’t spit on people as far as I know either, as an added bonus.

Maybe so, but that announcer was making it sound like Davis couldn't run before now. He might want to go back and watch some UGA 2021 video, because the big man could move back then too.

That's what I thought listening to today's highlight.

I think Davis hit 20mph or very close to it at UGA

I know it's the homer in me but I think all this nil/portal bullshite hurt UGA the most. No longer can teams just absolutely stack talent like cordwood like Kirby used to do. Rosters like what we had in 2021 will never be seen again.

I honestly think Kirby may have almost matched a Saban like run if things were still normal like they used to be. Oh well.

Nil is failing more than it's winning, universities are spending stupid money on players not panning out at a stunning rate.

Dumbasses like Texas have grossly overspent and at some point people will tire of being asked to find stupidity.

The collective model should win in the end and that puts Kirby back on top. Nil was meant to be $1000 bucks to come down to a car lot for a day.

Not $8m for rich kid prep school league player.

I think there was some impetus behind the scenes to stem SEC domination of college football. It vexed a lot of football people when, despite the history and pageantry of the other conferences and their hallowed bowl tie-ins, the BCS format made it clear the SEC was gonna win more than their share of championships decided on the field.

And the 4 game playoff didn't change that either. 2017 was a slap in the face; two SEC behemoths whose only loss was to another SEC team, ran the field and put on a show in the championship game. Even though NIL/free agency was ostensibly initiated by lawsuits and settled by the courts, big money decisions, even in sports, are never truly left up to the whims of plaintiffs and judges and juries.

Other than 4 teams in the Big10 nobody cares about college football like the South. They need our money.

The transfer portal giveth and the portal taketh away.

The WR who caught the TD with a chance to tie transferred from Vandy.

The WR who caught the tying 2PT pass transferred from USC.

The RB who scored the winning TD in OT transferred from Illinois.

The landscape has changed, for sure, but we’re playing the NIL game about as well as anybody. We’re not batting 1000 by any means, but paying more on retention instead of overpaying for an unproven kid is seeming to pay more dividends overall, it just doesn’t make for sexy headlines. Even in this new world of greater parity, we remain deeper than most and I don’t think Kirby is done by a long shot.

Falcons could have had him, but they got some no name RB. Is that guy still with the team?

Falcon management are the dumbest pos in football.
