I know all this. But you can't come in ranked no. 1 and act like you didn't feel you were gonna win. The thought is a hindsight thought and may be exactly the same deal after the game is played Saturday. The point is, Tennessee felt confident going into Athens that Saturday. Just as much as they do now.....and it's still about us.

We were bludgeoning teams in ‘22 pre Athens. Road win vs a ranked Pitt, 27 point win in Baton Rouge and a 38 point win vs a top 20 Kentucky squad to go with the Bama win.
I think we probably have a pretty solid squad this year but Josh has yet to solve Kirby and we are down both starting CBs and several DL despite being somewhat thin up front.
I think Aguilar can maybe get some chunk plays that Nico wasn’t able to last year, but Banks has gotten his arse handed to him two years in a row by Mike fricking Bobo so who knows if it will matter
