Firing Mack Brown Creates a Powerful Curse

I don’t know what New Orleans voodoo priest or priestess the outwardly affable Mack Brown has allied with, and we may never learn. But if you fire Mack, expect a powerful curse. After our haughty big cigar geniuses fired Mack following our 2009 natty loss to Alabama, Texas wandered the wilderness for 10+ years… left hobbled and bullied by the Okie land thieves up North.

SEC Commissioner Sankey might as well write UNC-Chapel Hill out of his SEC expansion plans. UNC will be blindly wandering through the Southeastern forests for at least 10 more years…

Chapel Bill’s UNC Football Debut was a Disaster for the Ages

Maybe TCU is a good team with a coach who went to the natty

Agree- TCU is looking solid right now, with a football loving attitude…

And who doesn’t like their horney toad mascot?

Did anyone really expect it not to be a disaster?

I’ve lived in NC a long time now. Honestly, I think it was only the big cigars at UNC who drank their own kool aid…

And for me, it makes me feel lucky to be a Longhorn fan… we’ve only got one hopefully improvable player to worry about right now, compared to that top to bottom mess at UNC…

I think Belicheck might be realizing he may have never won a ring without Brady now.

Yes, like Saban, Tom Brady was one of a kind…

But Belichick has so much money already saved up, if he gets tired of the college coach hassle, he can walk at any time and be just fine…

We are in rebuilding years with solid new coaches in both baseball and basketball. I am old enough now not to expect instant gratification…

Belachick’s record as head coach without Tom Brady is 83-104.

Let’s stop trying to hijack the original topic of this thread…

Otherwise, are you ready to hear all about our Director’s Cup awards? Ha…

It’s not rocket science. Don’t hire frauds to coach your team

Sark’s career

Vs AP Top 10 Teams
4–10
Vs AP Top 25 Teams (career)
~8–18
Vs AP Top 25 Teams (Texas)
~21–33

The only truly surprising thing is why anyone would be surprised we look so bad against teams with elite talent. It’s just who he is.

There’s no curse from firing Mack Brown. The curse is Texas thinking they are better than they are. Most schools go decades without winning anything and Texas is just like most schools.

I’ve noticed you haven’t asked me about women’s softball, or swimming and diving…

Yeah I know that you don’t like Sark, but (not that our big cigars are asking me), I’m going to give Sark more time. I like the way he has built up (with DC help) our defense, defensive and offensive lines.

Except for a few heartbreaking games like last Saturday, I am having way more fun as a fan than when our team was led by Charlie Strong. New coaching hires are crapshoots… ask Alabama… if we let Sark go no guarantee we would get a better result…

If girlfriend is smart, and all indications are that she is, she can bring in additional cash by signing Chapel Bill up for some Hims commercials, ha…
