Alabama hasn't had a 1,000-yard rusher in four years...

Brian Robinson in 2021 was our last back to eclipse the 1,000 yard mark. That's three full seasons. To put that into context, you have to go back to the DuBose/Franchione years to find a slump as long or longer. Can Jam or any of other backs in our backfield break the streak?

Saying its been 4 years is misleading. It's been 3.

I'm gonna say no simply because of Jam's injury. He's going to miss at least 3 games and Young and Hill will probably split carries in his absence. That plus what is probably going to be a pass heavy offensive scheme will most likely leave any of the backs short of a 1000 yard season. Doesn't mean our rushing attack won't be effective though.

I believe I mentioned that in my OP. It might trouble you to read chapter and verse instead of just the title from time to time. Either way...the last time Alabama had a string of three seasons without a 1,000-yard rusher was 2000-2002.

The last two years Bama had a starting QB run for 500+ yards and 700+ yards, that might have an effect in RB rushing numbers, no? As a team, they ran for more rushing yards than they did in '21 when there was a 1,000 yard rusher (2,260 vs 2,250). Does it really matter who specifically gets the yards?
Gibbs had 926 yards in '22 with a very deep backfield that year. McClellan - 655 yards, Roydell 250, Jam Miller 223, and even Milroe had 260+ yards the couple games he started.
Really don't think you can call it a slump when you look into the why.
