USC has made an SEC title game more recently than Tennessee and has way fewer losses to Vandy over the last 20 years.

Since 2022, only Tennessee, UGA, Bama and Texas have 10 plus wins against ranked opponents and we were just in the playoffs last year and narrowly missed the 4 team playoffs in 2022.
That means that since Heupel's second season with the Vols, we are in the very top tier of the SEC with Bama, UGA and Texas.
You can argue all that you want, but the numbers prove it.

No he thought he was more than he was worth and ended up getting less money because no other schools were willing to match what we were paying him.
Heupel played him perfectly and we upgraded with the NCAA 's most productive passer these last two years with Joey freaking Football.

We was set to make 3.1 million on a likely playoff team if he showed expected improvement in year 2 as a starter. Instead he is making 1.2 with a team that will struggle to make a bowl game this year.
