I haven't heard this much praise for a LSU starting pitcher during a CWS since Zack Hess

...he was all world as well. A regular Roger Clemens/Randy Johnson love child. Where is he selling cars/insurance these days?

I think my point is they were pretty high on Hess too. Never sniffed the majors

Were you in a coma in 2023 when Skenes was pitching in the CWS? How’s he doing these days? Selling insurance?

He never was in the minors. He was hurt a lot, though, and never panned out

I didn't watch that one as much, but I mostly remember them big dogging his Air Force bona fides etc instead of his actual talent. Which he undoubtedly has

Well they called him the best pitching prospect since Strasberg and posted his draft grade every other inning
