That means they have room for 9 to get to the max of 85. Someone please tell me who is going to get cut that is currently on scholarship. How is the numbers crunch going to work this year?

It's built into "the process."

The great humanitarian will show some players caringly toward the door and thoughtfully pull their schollies.

I want a serious answer from a Gump

Andre smith + Glenn coffee + Terry grant + 9 seniors = 12. If you can't add, I'm not about to explain anything to you.

Okay, so you got 12 openings to get to the 85.
1. Carpenter signed already towards prior year.
19. Current committments. I heard Sentimore and West might not qualify.
that would put you at 18 considering you don't sign anymore. How many are going to get the Nick Saban Schloarship or the Bryant Scholarship, or the Logan Young Scholarship?

CPA its an Alabama thing and you wouldn't understand. You should worry less about bama and worry a little more about that joke of a football program that is auburn. What we do is none of your fricking business.

Governor 1-6 your last 7 in the Iron Bowl so I don't know who you are calling a joke.
When you think of joke, most people think of Alabama football in this decade. Incompentent head coaches, coaches getting fired before coaching, probation, loss to La-Monroe and an arse whippin with everybody watching from Utah, and worshiping your head coach. Losing streaks to Auburn, LSU, Miss St, just to name a few. the 2000's has not been very good to Bama fan.

I'll pass this bit of information on to the NCAA so they can start the probation hearings on the Parole Tide.

Some won't qualify, some will greyshirt.
Posted on 1/26/09 at 6:14 pm to ShreveportBama
why would a star player greyshirt instead of going to a school that wants him now?

The answer is no one has any clue how Saban will manipulate the numbers this year. He will over sign and run some people off over the spring and summer at the end of the day. He will run off as many as it takes to make the numbers work. Nick Saban does not give a shite about his players or anything besides himself at the end of the day. That bullshite million dollars for first generation college kids that the gumps yap about? We see how that works.

Ill go out on a limb here and say that 75% of the schools in d1 sign at least 25 or more players every year. So explain to me how schools can sign 100 guys in 4 years and not exceed 85. So how bout the 2 of you explain how your schools do it.

lets see...kids quit, some dont make it, some grayshirt, and some leave early. his question was, how can bama have 76 schollys and plan to sign 20-25 more. is it that hard of concept?

Good first post AUzach.
My point exactly. Auburn has room for 22 this year. Bama has room for 12. Auburn will sign 30. 3 have already been placed back to previous years. 4 or 5 will go JUCO or Prep school.
30-3-5 = 22
I want you to tell me how you fit 25 into 12, Governor.

Bama is gonna do it the exact same way awburn, lsu, and all the other schools do it. Find out how your school does it and then you'll know how we do it.

In case you didn't know, CPA, Governor is not in charge of football at the University of Alabama.
If you want the answer, go to a press conference and ask Nick yourself. He'd be delighted to answer your question.
