MLB partners with AUSL

quote:

The Athletes Unlimited Softball League will launch its inaugural season on June 7, and Major League Baseball is pitching in. In a first-of-its-kind partnership with a women’s professional sports league, MLB announced Thursday a strategic investment in the AUSL to help the fledgling softball circuit become an established, sustainable entity. The investment, which is part of MLB’s ongoing commitment to supporting the growth of softball at all levels, will include joint sales and marketing efforts, extensive promotional support and broadcasts on MLB Network and MLB.com to raise the visibility of the AUSL and its athletes.

I would watch this before WNBA. At least softball is a different sport than baseball. The fact that the WNBA still exists is mind boggling.
Why would I want to watch women play the same sport that there is already a men’s league for, that men play infinitely better?

Softball has become culturally popular to follow now. And I'm tired of it playing top fiddle over College Baseball.

So give the masses a pro-level softball as far as I'm concerned.

Just because that’s the case at OU and Texas doesn’t mean it’s true anywhere else
