Sounds good to me. Really pleased the UT game is afternoon.

When/how did this become a thing where they announced kickoffs this far in advance? I guess because everyone had to wait week to week to find out which game CBS was going to pick?

Last year, when the contracts switched from CBS to ABC/ESPN.

I like 3:30 honestly, day and night games mostly.

3:30 great for shite games. Don’t have to get up crazy early, tailgate a few hours, home before 10.

Me personally I like the noon shite games, I'm only 45 minutes away.

Used to love night games but 3:30 is the best slot no matter what type of game. You got all day to get shite done and you can get drunk during the game and still go to bed at a reasonable time .

Goddamnt playing a night game at Auburn is always stressful with their damn voodoo magic

Pretty sure the last night game matchup in Auburn was 2012 (38-0).

Didn't realize Tech was on a Friday again. Hopefully this isn't an annual thing...

Tsucaloosa is halfway between starkville and my house. We play at MSU at 11am and LSU plays at bama at night. I am strongly considering a double dip and just stopping in tusc on my way home.

It’s going to be an annual thing. It’s long been buried during the noon hour on Saturday behind Mich-OSU and like a dozen other northern rivalry games.
TV seems to like us getting our own time slot on Friday to draw eyeballs lounging around the house on Black Friday. We’re a national power, Tech typically plays up against us and makes it interesting for at least a half. It’s an old rivalry between two pretty well thought of southern schools academically speaking.
Plus Mercedes Benz has now started sponsoring one game a year in the Benz and it seems that’ll be us and Tech every other year for the forseeable future

I like the Friday. Get the game out of the way early then have all day rivalry saturday to chill and watch everyone else with no stress. Not to mention having an extra day to prep for SECCG.

It was a weird vibe tailgating in November (extreme cold didn’t help) with us being virtually the only game to build up to that day. But like you, I enjoyed actually getting to watch Michigan-Ohio State for once the next day.
Feels like (or at least I hope) that last year returned some juice to the game from a fan perspective. Kids today don’t hate those bastards nearly enough.
