The AAAA college basketball guys are probably the way to go right now.

They’re probably much easier to deal with and if you have the NIL money to hold them can get multiple years out of them because the NBA doesn’t want them and they can make great money without going to Europe.

It’ll decline a bit as the COVID kids leave, but I suspect two year JUCO kids with 4 years of eligibility will be the next trend particularly with post guys who need time to develop or be scouted as they bust at a higher rate.

Agreed. I think NIL will benefit college bball the most. Like you said..........instead of guys going G-League or overseas, they will stay in college and develop. I am afraid it will widen the gap between the haves and have-nots. Oh well, frick the have-nots.

Every one of the consistent top basketball programs in the SEC has built its core post Covid on AAAA talent:
Bama: Sears, Nelson, Cliff
AU: basically the entire team
TN: Zeigler, Knecht (ended up blossoming), Lanier etc

That’s not a coincidence.

Great points. Bruce developed the majority of the first F4 team but the portal/NBA made it impossible to hold players very long afterwards. His transition in strategy to the newest era has paid off.

No it's not hence why I think the butthurt over having no real cinderellas is just the bluebloods figuring out dominance of the HS ranks no longer translates to an equal dominance on the court and throwing hissy fits.
