Colorado has a higher Pomeroy ranking than 11 out of 17 ACC teams

I was very surprised when I realized this. But if you look at the rankings, that is the case.

Colorado is even a spot ahead of Stanford, who UNC lost to at home. So UNC's home loss to Stanford is actually worse than WVU's neutral site loss to Colorado.

And, even moreso, this really shows how useless UNC's wins were. UNC seemed to be completely out of the NCAA tournament race a month ago. But they got back into the tournament race by beating a bunch of teams that are all worse than the worst team in the Big 12. And the Big 12 itself was only either the 2nd or 3rd best conference this year, about the same as the Big 10 and well behind the SEC.
