I was pretty surprised at how few UK fans were at the game. They used to find their way down to the floor seats. I remember more being in there for a midweek game the year Nerlens Noel got hurt and they missed the tournament. Even when they had a good lead early, there was never a “go big blue” chant to be heard. Strange times we live in.

You are trying to suggest that the fan base that had 30k people attend a press conference earlier this year doesn't travel well?

That the most passionate fan base in all of sports isn't supporting a team with more top 15 wins than anyone else?

Most UK fans are waiting for March at this point and the hope to get our team healthy. Eye is always on the prize.

There was a large presence and a very loud big blue chant when they were up big early.

What does showing up to a press conference have to do with traveling well?

Kentucky fans not showing up to road games is different. Auburn is the new Kentucky.

A press conference you had to move to a Saturday and beg folks to come out and support their underwhelming hire.

All because Calipari had 15k at a spur of the moment press conf. On a Wednesday night

Yeah, those first 10 minutes were pretty loud. Wasn't much to cheer about after that. Got the lead down to 3-4 a couple of times, but couldn't pull closer.

Bama has a very good team.

I would suspect one factor is that Alabama actually has a good team and fans are actually buying up tickets and going to the games.
