Why can't Saban keep coaches?

Boy bama is really gonna suck next year. It will be great to watch then completely unravel. New qb lose your best lineman lose your best assistant coaches.....I'm going to say it now that last year is the best year bama will have under saban.

Great question. Not sure what the turnover rate is among assistants but his has to be among the highest.
Either he's a very poor judge of coaches' temperament or just a pain in the wazoo to work for.

Let me preface this statement by saying I don't hvae a bone to pick with LSU but it will be like you guys this year i presume, I do have to admit it was impressive to watch the meltdown on the tiger rant this year

I wouldn't go so far as to say Bama will suck. While I don't think they will be as good, they will play good D and have discipline. You can win a lot of ballgames that way.

Please tell me it won't be as bad as the year lsu had after losing Flynn and pelini? I don't know if I can stomach going 3 & 5 in the SEC.

To answer you question,Saban is not a real people person.Coaches catch pure hell,nobody escapes his wrath.....ask anybody close to any of his programs and they will tell you. He rips and belittles coaches as well as players,he plays no favs. Bobby Wms is the only dude who seems to be on the same page with this guy. Saban is a hellava coach but lacks people skillz!

Well,two seasons ago in 2006 you went 2-6 in the SEC. Take what ever you did for your stomach then.Wasn't that long ago;medicine should still be okay.

i think you would be fine since this decade, bama has been 2-6 twice and 3-5 once in sec play, dating back to 2002.

I don't think applewhite is a good example. Its my understanding that all these coaches are leaving on their own accord, but applewhite was told to find another job.

I heard that at LSU and in Miami. One coach in Miami said that Saban "forbid" them to ever talk to the media. If something had to be said, HE was going to say it. If he ever caught them talking to the media, he would have their head. He's a major a-hole, but hey, he's doing something right.

We will struggle a bit with a new QB at the helm and some new OL. However, we will not suck. We will have a winning record in the SEC. Our D will be much improved IMO. We lost 2 position coaches on defense but we still have Saban and our DC (Kirby Smart) so I think we'll be fine on the field.
We'll have to wait and see if this loss hurts our recruiting in next years class.

Saban's a douchebag,but he's a darn good coach.These assistants know full well what they are getting themselves into. His system works well for some,not for others.

A couple of 3-4 loss seasons (atleast 1 loss to AU) and they'll run him out of town.
