BUT, Given what we return and what we got in the portal and the recruiting class... this makes GREAT sense. This is not farfetched at all.

Maybe I should have asked this before I posted this... BUT, y'all DO actually WATCH the football games, right?

So Auburn being ranked 23rd is odd?

Lot of people just dont like Freeze regardless of what our team looks like. Sad.

Yeah, we didn't win many games last year.

And before you say something like, " we have a great recruiting class"... Yeah? So does everyone else.

I'll let Freeze have a good QB though before I make further opinions of him.. that is if he ever can find a QB he's capable of teaching his wisdom to..
He's had several QBs now, but apparently none are good enough to learn from him. We've seen no improvement in QB play AT ALL from this QB guru coach..

You're a homer. It's okay. Nothing wrong with that on a message board.. It's almost expected.
We had a decent defense last year. We had an offense incapable of winning games. Poor gameday coaching, play calling, clock management.. I could go on.
But like I said, Freeze is fine for now I guess. But check back in in a few years and see how this post ages.
You think that's going to be magically fixed this year by 1st year QBs?
We finished 14th out of 16 places in the SEC, and now we're gonna be a top25 heading into next year?
I don't see that happening. I wouldn't mind being surprised though.. but yeah, I just don't see it.
Call me sad all day. That's fine. I call it being realistic.

If we had something like a late season upswing I would be feel more confident in a preseason ranking but cmon, I didn't see much offensive improvement to hang my hat on

This is why I am skeptical too.
I will remain curious, but my expectations are low.

Lot of these characteristics define a lot of coaches in the final top 25.
So many bed shitters. They had players though and still got wins too.

I'm actually NOT. But I'll say this:

All fixable. Usually happens when you move on from non-performing players.
Addition by subtraction. We'll miss Cowboy, KLS & McLeod. Outside of them, what's the loss?
I feel better QB, replaced Percy Lewis with a pro prospect. Added more talent and depth to the OLine. Replaced KLS with Singleton, best WR in the portal. Didn't lose any transfers of consequence. Added a great class on top of a great 2024 class that PRODUCED. Won 5 games that could HONESTLY have been 8-9
So what am I missing here?

You mean our 11 games won in the past 2 years?
Yea, we saw them. LOL.
