Only Ark fans would think Calipari was going to win big.

Year after year at Kentucky he had by miles the best talent and normally could not win a game in the tournament if he made it at all the last 5 years.
Worst in game coach in history. Practices by all reports were like what a 1A school would be doing.

Cal Kentucky teams were a 3,6, and 2 seed the last three seasons. No reasonable Arkansas fan would be mad with these results.

I get what you are saying, but seedlings ultimately mean nothing.
Those seeds and 1 win among them is the real issue.

Well yeah but that’s a completely different conversation than being 0-5 in the SEC right now and missing the tournament completely

I do agree it'd be really frustrating to lose as a high seed
But I would gladly take the regular season success high seeds entail.
Cal does desperately need an assistant to run an NBA offense like Welch did at Kentucky last year. If we don't make that change for Acuff and Thomas, the shittiness will continue.

All we heard was how Musselman had achieved more success in hogville by going to the elite 8 than those poor souls who won the SECC. You must have changed to the metric system to measure success these days.

I never said that. Muss teams underperforming in the regular season always frustrated me.
That said tournament success is still important, and that was my biggest red flag with the Cal hire
It was fun to mock yall for losing in the tournament. Congrats on the final four tho cant really anymore

Stupid comment. I know a lot of Arkansas fans who were pissed off when they hired Calipari. A comment I’ve heard many times is, “If he could no longer win at Kentucky, why did anyone believe he could win at Arkansas?”

I have no idea how all of it isn't important to success. I love every SECC we win. The hog fans swinging from the rafters about the postseason is only possible because 68 teams are invited. No such luck in football.

This comparison is dumb and shows you don't know a lot about basketball.

If your ad or the walmart/chicken people are smart they will tell him to replace his entire staff, although I say that not knowing how good of a coach Brewer is. They need an offensive minded assistant, a defensive minded assistant, and a Xs and Os guy. Let cal stand up during the game and do nothing else.
Your NIL money would be best used on assistants.

I was only addressing the 3 seasons past.
This year the problem is the sec is brutally good. It used to be Kentucky and a couple of other good teams. Now it's like 13 good teams this season.
Timing is also an issue.

Sort of like Ole Piss and Houston Nutt

I don't see that. The head man needs to be that guy regarding scheme and effort. The hogs got all caught up in Calipari's recruiting acumen and forgot all about game day. It's the same reason Kentucky could never pull the plug on this guy. All the shiny stars simply blinded them to reality.

I am disappointed that no one thought about other SEC teams going to flop or make huge improvements from last year.

If Cal were still any good, he'd still be in Lexington
