I know yall are more focused on your CFP run. As an LSU fan, my team coached by a buffoon so I have more time on my hands ;-)

I enjoy woodworking and by no means claim to be a good one, still learning. But thought I would share my latest project that some of you may want to steal if you do woodworking.

The wife of a good friend of mine who has ties to the UGA football program asked if I could build him an outdoor UGA themed Ice Chest. So figured I would take it on. After a few prototypes that went into the fire pit this is the finish project.

The logo on the front and on top my wife found on Etsy. Although they are wood I didn't make those. I am not that talented.

Basically I built it around a 42 quart ICE chest. The trickiest part was the drain. But finally figured it out. As with any project there are things I would do differently. Kind of figured it out as I went.

Anyway, thought I would share
Have a great Christmas Everyone.

And Geaux Dawgs !

Great job. Only critique would be the KMart Uga decal. Looks too Donnan era-ish. Swap it out with Stroke Victim Uga for a more classic and attractive look and you will be ready to roll!

Did you put any extra insulation outside of the cooler?

I did not since it’s an ice cooler I figured it had enough. Not a bad idea

I originally want to use a sheet metal tub on the inside and insulate that between but I never could find one big enough. Then I tried to cut some sheet metal and form it inside and that ended up being a disaster so I gave up and bought an igloo ice chest and built around it…

Good point. Will do that if I ever build another one.
Again I kind of figured this out as I went. There is 3/4 inch of pine on the top and sides so that may help a bit.

Also wish I had gotten a red cooler as opposed to Blue for obvious reasons…

You did great, insulation doesn't matter so much if it is going to be opened a bunch like that is designed to be at a party
