1. Texas beats Georgia
2. Clemson annihilates SMU
3. Alabama slips into the 12 seed.

This is a new world. I actually hope Clemson takes Bama's spot. I actually made a killing predicting this scenario. Parlayed USC ML and Syracuse ML for 5 grand. Knew it would happen

If Clemson beats SMU, I believe SMU is out. BUT it could restructure the final rankings and put Cocks in over Bama. They will do a more hands on rankings rather than relying mostly on the pollsters like they did to FSU last year.

SMU will be out and they should be, but not to Bama. This so called committee that included women that have never played sports is wreckless if you actually believe they are making the calls.

Maybe. But just rationally thinking, the CFP committee set the rankings up in a way, where a Clemson win puts Cocks and Clemson in and Bama and SMU out.

The committee chairman has said that the results of this week won’t change the ranks of the teams not playing.
So if SMU wins, Bama is assuredly in baring the committee finding some integrity, which is unlikely.
If Clemson wins, the committee either keeps its word (integrity) to not have a CC loss knock a team out, or (More likely) they put Bama in

A team that loses by 21-points to a 6-6 squad in the penultimate week of the season…especially what that is the teams third loss….does not belong in the Playoffs.
