Some NFL team will draft him high and end up disappointed. Dude has all the tools but rarely makes an impact. 1 tackle vs Tech. Dude should be wrecking shite every game.

Lots of misdirection and eye candy in Techs offense. That negates attacking style defense

We still play a very disciplined gap sound type of defense. He primarily is asked to be a 5 technique in that defense which is not a splash play position. I’ll agree I think he should win his 1 on 1s on 3rd and long more often but those are basically his only chance to do that. We don’t go balls out every down.

If you noticed, we ran our blitzes to the A gap, because we could not give up contain. Both for the play and the QB scramble

For 90-something percent of this board, definitely myself included, we don't know what we're really looking at on television watching defensive linemen and Mykel Williams is still a defensive lineman most of the time, so we should probably hold off making hot takes about Mykel Williams.

He hasn't done shite against any other team this season other than Texas. Over rated IMHO.

On Tech's first play of the game, Williams tried to strip the ball from Haynes instead of tackling him, resulting in a Haynes 44 yard run.

To be fair, Haynes was completely eaten up in the pile and that might have been what Williams was coached to do in that situation, before Haynes pulled a David Copperfield magic trick to get back around all that trash and make something out of nothing. I don't think that was on Williams, that was on Haynes being a freak athlete with elite instincts and vision.
