Who out there still thinks the Big 12 is the best conference in football? I was tired of hearing this during the season. See what happens when a Big 12 team plays outside of their lack of defense conference. The highest scoring team in modern history couldn't even break 14 points. The Big 12 is 0-2 this year in bowl games against SEC teams. 4 out of the last 6 BCS Champions are from the SEC (LSU [2] and UF [2]), and yesterdays win makes it 3 in a row for the SEC..... you got to admit, that's pretty impressive! This is the first time since the 1940's that the National Champion has come from the same conference. Since the BCS conception, 5 BCS Champions have been from the SEC (LSU, UF, UT), 2 from the Big 12 (OU, Texas), and 1 from the rest; ACC (FSU), Miami (Big East), Big 10 (tOSU), & Pac 10 (FUSC). Numbers don't lie...... I think we all know who the best conference in football is!!! Watch out for those TIGERS next year!

Well according to the "bowl game championship" between the conferenceswe are not the best conference

I guess you didn't watch ESPN suck USC's cock during the rose bowl and saying that the Pac 10 had the strongest conference b/c they won all of their bowl games and it put them at 100% so they won the ""bowl game championship" between the conferences.

So the PAC10 has the best conference

I guess they forgot to review the teams they played and their rankings - I think only two teams played ranked teams and USC was supposed to win that game b/c they were ranked higher than penn state.

Well isnt it funny how the Pac 10's bowl games were over on jan 1st and the SEC was mostly just getting started.

That means........beating the 8th place team in another crappy conference doesnt mean jack S.

All of the SEC teams were playing mostly top teams from other conferences....something the pac10 doesnt do.

The homers up here were frantic this morning. They didn't know what to say to defend their precious Big 12. The hosts of talk radio 610 and 810 (sports shows) were inundated with disillusioned Big 12 fans clamoring about why Oklahoma didn’t win. Some of their comments were:

1) Oklahoma was banged up
2) Percy Harvin wasn’t hurt, he was clearly 100% (i.e. Florida lied)
3) Oklahoma play calling was bad (unlike the rest of the season)
4) It doesn’t really matter which conference is better
5) Oklahoma held Florida to only 24 points (i.e. Oklahoma’s defense is better than the rest of the SEC)

The hosts (who are also Big 12 homers) finally told the callers, "get over it, the SEC is better than the Big 12......at least this year".
It was good radio.

I mean, what game were you guys watching? Oklahoma played great and gave Florida all they could handle. Most people were predicting a rout by Florida. OU had them on the ropes and couldn't capitalize on a couple of opportunities to win the game. Certainly nothing to be ashamed of.

Just because Florida beat OU doesn't mean that the SEC was better than the Big 12. Everyone knows this was a very down year in the SEC, and a very up year for the Big 12.

Ole Miss physically dominated TX Tech. Highly touted BigXII South lost 3 out of 4 bowl games. They were physically manhandled in all 3 losses for the most part.

BigXII had a cute little regular season but I think they were a little exposed in the bowls. SEC beat better teams IMO

I certainly don't think OU or OSU were "physically dominated". OU gave UF all they could handle, and a much better game than most thught they would. OSU scored 31 and was down by 3 in the 4th quarter against Oregon.

Like Georgia Tech? Maybe they just had a "cute little regular season" too, and were exposed in the bowl.

Yeah, so what? LSU finally showed what they could do with a motivated defense and a QB who doesn't throw pick-sixes like he changes socks.

How long were UF's last 2 drives? OU's DB's were ducking for cover when Teabag got into the secondary. Bradford got his uniform dirty for once. UF owned most of the 2nd half and all the 4th quarter.

Pokes? Are u kidding? Oregon ran all over Pokes! Oregon's QB was running over people. Did u see the licks he was dishing out?

TX Tech? well...

What secondary doesn't? Jessie Daniels' arse print is still in The Swamp's turf from when he tried to take on TT in 06.

And Bradford played very well, despite getting hit and roughed up.

So what? So they ran the ball well. That doesn't mean they were physically dominated. OSU also put up almost 500 yards against Oregon. Its not like they got blown off the field.

And I agree that TT got beat up physically by Ole Miss, but that isn't really that embarrassing. I mean the Rebels shite stomped us a lot worse than Tech.
