Did Beck change the rhythm of his clap cadence for Tennessee?

Seemed like Beck was doing a lot of 2 clap or more cadence. Some were in fast succession. Seemed to pull UT offsides a few times and had them not getting a jump off the snap. Wonder if this was a modification they made after Ole Miss seemed to be killing us off the snap.

Yes. Well I mean I am obviously not 100% certain since I’m not on staff but I noticed it many times just like you did. He would use a lot of double claps in quick succession, mix in a one clap, and rarely two clap with longer pause between. I even watched it back to make sure my eyes were right

Home vs road makes a big difference right?

Home obviously helped but I think he mostly did a very good job at manipulating the cadence. This could’ve contributed to how clean he stayed all night.

For sure, he executed the hard counts and what not expertly.

They'd be pretty dumb to use the same cadence a week after what Ole Miss did to them. So I'm assuming yes, they did change it up. Is this not standard operating procedure from game to game?

Did his variances in double claps and what speed they varied between didn’t stick out to you as not something usual? It did to me at least. It worked so I like it.

It helped being at home, but it appeared to me to be a new wrinkle.
