Not sure why he wasn't promoted from within. Gogo has been this mid for decades, not sure why some folks thought he could just turn it up for the team this go around.

I think it would be wise to conduct a national search and bring in an outside mind as a new OC. Right now there is basically no meaningful outside influence on the UGA staff. Faulkner wouldn’t help that.
I understand Kirby wanted continuity with Bobo, but at a certain point the reason he gives you continuity is because he’s not thought of very highly by ADs with HC openings. If you don’t have an OC with higher aspirations, you are likely leaving something on the table when it comes to innovation and commitment.

Assuming Bobo stays, which seems most likely, I say get somebody new to work with the quarterback, even if it's just an analyst, and then fire Coley.
You can just do the thing that all programs do periodically but don't want to admit and fire Coley after Signing Day and none of the recruits are butthurt that Coley is fired, even though it's sketchy.
