Some of ya'll need to breath into some paper bags. Here's a 100 count for the remainder of the season.

True, but some of those guys probably would have replaced Hurts with Tua before Saban did.

Maybe. However, we aren't in the locker room and have a limited purview.

Every program will have hiccups after losing the GOAT HC. There isn't a program/club in the world that hasn't had hiccups after losing a top HC.

Manchester United = Sir Alex Ferguson
Chicago Bulls/Los Angeles Lakers = Phil Jackson
New England = Bill Belichick / Tom Brady (Hybrid)

It would be much easier for KDB to do his job without fans complaining about how he isn't wearing a polo on the sidelines and calling for him to be fired 5 games into the season.

I'm not sure why our fans believe that they are OWED something and take everything personal. It's amazing how many GROWN arse MEN there are because they get too emotionally involved over a game of 17-24 year olds play.

I don't care what the guy wears, but I would like us to play our best players.

Some of this is out of necessity but I actually thought it was pretty remarkable that we have so many True Freshmen starting across the board. That gave me feelings of Alabama v Clemson in 2008 where we did play our true freshmen (i.e. Ingram/Jones/Hightower).

The staff has stated multiple times that the best players will play and one of the reason why Vandemark keeps coming in is because he is doing really well at practice. Maybe we are moving too many people on the OL but he is trying to get people playing time when they succeed in practice.

I think we are playing our best players. Are you advocating Ty Simpson over Jalen Milroe? For Ty Simpson, I don't know how any of us can say he is better than Milroe at this stage. Milroe definitely has his ups and downs. He is a pitiful QB, right now. I'll give you that. However, Simpson couldn't beat out Buchner for whatever reason and we have a very small sample size.

It's an annual tradition for Bama fans to say let's start our 2nd string.

I think Saban is right to point out that the people inside the four walls of the athletics facility shouldn’t concern themselves with what the peanut gallery is saying. That doesn’t mean I can’t shoot the shite and say my piece. Ain’t like I’m at-replying the young men with invectives.

Read this from a connected member on another site:

"Last Spring he was out-played by true freshman, Dylan Lonergan and this Spring if you really have an opportunity to talk to someone within our Complex they'd admit Ty Simpson was the best QB on campus. Simpson out-performed Milroe!"

"However, Jalen Milroe proclaimed himself the starter even before the new staff arrived and cleverly put that out in the public domain every chance he got including showing up and being seen next to the new HC and even AD to make everyone understand who the QB is. He did that even knowing a new staff and system was being installed and he made sure he was the man regardless of merit or performance. In the offseason, he grabbed the top WR's to go throw and train with him and made strategic alliances giving the new staff no options."

Could post a lot worse than that, but I won't.

Say any other little cute sayings you want to.

Absolutely. CKD is open for criticism as it is a part of the job. With that being said... my posts were geared towards the toxic folks that makes this fanbase look awful.

They would have made so many wrong decisions before then, that sniffing a NCG would have been a pipe dream

I get on my high horse about things that feel like people trying to shift the window on what can be discussed. It is a common strategy for committed sunshine pumpers who think it is their job to gate keep discussion areas when the goings get tough.

But I totally get where you are coming from specifically. Jalen Milroe can be a bad quarterback and you can say as much. However people feel like they got to insult him and his entire lineage because he kinda sucks at being a quality quarterback for a contender.

Given what we have learned about Tua the competitor and the way his body can't quite tolerate the never-give-up gunslinger he wants to be...not starting Tua until the last game of the season was the best chance to have the passing game we needed to beat Georgia when the time came to do it.

If not for a lucky break with several teams losing ahead of us we would have never been able to play GA for it all.

Hurts crapped the bed vs AU and we nearly lost to MSU before that.

100%. To clarify; I'm not gatekeeping. Folks can post whatever they would like. However, at some point, it does become damaging and it is toxic, though.

In terms of open/honest criticism, the team is failing to execute. Coaches are failing to discipline (or so it seems). However, CKD is in a lose lose situation....

If he benched Milroe and put Ty in early in the season and we lose.... There would be a shitstorm in the locker room and in the fanbase. We just have to allow the coaching staff to do their thing. They have to be themselves and we have to live with it.

None of this I have any problem with. The dude wanted the job, stepped up and did the things needed to get it. I think that is the sign of a leader who will do whatever it takes.

I think he views the NFL this way too though and its conflicting with giving the team the best chance to win. I dont even believe he is thinking like that though. If I had to guess, he thinks "I can deliver in the passing game and still win" It just isnt reality

I also dont think he has bad character. The dude gave his time to speak at churches before the season. I think he is a driven guy that wants to both achieve his personal goals and win. I think he can and hopefully will find a balance and im rooting for him

Considering he was the starter at the end of the year, I would assume he would still think that at the beginning of the year especially before a coaching staff took place.

I would also expect them to grab WRs to throw and train with him. I would also expect him to be attached to the HC as a new system is coming in.

I would have serious doubts on our QB leadership if he didn't. You can definitely tell that Milroe is trying, he has leadership skills, and that the physical talent is there. It's just the mental aspect of his game that is lacking.

From the reports I saw they went out of state to do this. Were the other QB's and WR's invited?

If not, not ideal for building team chemistry. Cliqueish.

Are you a big enough clown to really think Saban was bullied by Milroe to name him the starter last year? If Longergan outplayed him then why wasnt Longergan the one who started vs USF? Why didnt Simpson start that game? It sounds like this connected member on another site is a damn idiot who has less connections than Willie in the building.
