Oklahoma is always the first to help. Every storm I have ever been through in Alabama as a kid and an old man I. A remember the power company from Oklahoma being the first ones on scene to help. I remember an Alabama game one year in Tuscaloosa where the Oklahoma governor was recognized for their assistance during a storm. They have been there every time!

The best meteorologists come from OU. The location and seemingly random devastation that can develop via weather is insane and that whole community gets it. They're all about they're "ternado percashins" and what can happen when you're unlucky enough to be impacted and they've got the setup to know that's true because it happens so often. Strong people from a land that can just take you out. It's admirable.

But we can't let that distract us from the fact that those same people are Oklahoma football fans and therefore, when it comes to that, they all suck.

You're not wrong. Working 60+ hours, miles and miles away from loved ones. Anyone who would try to dock overtime pay or refuse to pay it ... well ... I doubt they truly know what it's like to put in that kind of time and effort to help someone.
