Perry Thompson vs Rivaldo

I know Perry is KLS’s backup, but with how piss poor Rivaldo is blocking and dropping passes, what’s the problem with moving Perry over to the flex position? Perry is actually a good run blocker and he has made some tough catches this year. The season is shot. Get the young guys on the field and see what they can do.

Sad thing is none of our tight ends can block

Agreed, so what’s the use in having them on the field? Micah Riley can at least catch, but he rarely gets used in the passing game. I’d rather see Perry in that flex position.

Because PT is about 30lbs light to play TE and will 100% just sit out and transfer if they try to move him to TE.

Flex is split out wide. Nobody is talking about putting him in a 3 point stance.

Following up, multiple whiffs again blocking on the perimeter and a few more drops by Rivaldo Saturday, and Perry made a great block on the Hunter touchdown and broke open on pass that PT under threw in the end zone. It’s time to put Perry in that flex spot.

Perimeter run blocking has never appeared more abysmal than it does now. I don't know if I am paying more attention to it now than usual but it seems like every week we got receivers preventing big plays. that shite matters. I was jealous as fuc seeing Kendrick Law push someone 15 yards off the ball. The screenplay variety will only moderately work with shitty perimeter blocking

Correct, and the TEs have been the main culprits. Luke Deal also has sucked at perimeter blocking. He did make a good one on the Hunter TD run too, but he whiffs a lot too. I really don’t think the extra TEs help in the blocking game except between the tackles.
