I feel like getting him back will go a long way with this offense. He is a punishing RB that we are missing. Hopefully he will not have this toe be a problem all year.

Out of everything you saw last night, and the first 3 games, you think THAT is what we’re missing? Ok then….

A bruising RB that can punish people and get those short yardage. We came out, went down quick and immediately started trying to throw down field instead of establishing the run game. So yes I think getting a big punishing rb will help. I'm sort of baffled why we would come out in a loud hostile environment and just start slinging it dowfield as much as we did, instead of calming down and establishing the run.

I mean you obviously just saw what can happen with the offensive game plan they used in the beginning. They went down 28 to 0 before the players settle in. Your defense is on the field for how long? Some times the best defense is clock control and keeping the opposing offense off the field.

Georgia's first possession 5 passes. Not one run. Then they come out ran twice and the second run goes for 27 yards. Georgia's first scoring drive they ran the ball 7 times and were averaging 7 ypc. So yes I think establishing the run early and having a big punishing rb would help.

establishing the run early

When we run early everyone bitches that we're not throwing the ball. Alabama was expecting early runs because that is what we do.

We need a tight end to step up. Beck needs a safety valve when he plays nervous

Ok so your argument is we need a big bruising back because we threw too much? And how, pray tell, does that help?
