Utah Should be #1

They played an amazing game against an extremely uninspired team. They would get beat by at least 2 touchdowns against Florida and them and Okie would be a scorefest that Okie would prob win. I would def. give them #2 over USC though.

It would make you gumps feel better if they were ranked number one, but no way they should be. It would take a little of the sting out, maybe, but the fact is, either Florida or Oklahoma would wipe the floor with Utah. Different league.

If it wasn't for the media love for Saban, and the early defeat of what turned out to be a weak Clemson team, you wouldn't have had delusions of grandeur. You beat mediocre teams, including my beloved Tigers. Your big win was Georgia, who went on to show who they really were by getting embarrassed by Florida and shamed by in state rival Ga Tech.

Don't worry, Saban will coach the team when it counts, but sadly, don't count on him to win you games that don't count as much. LSU lost the Capitol One bowl the year after winning the BCS with Saban, who didn't seem to care much, but then again, he was on his way out the door.

Thinking of that...anyone check the charter flights from New Orleans on Friday to Denver or New York? Just kidding, we all know you won't loose Nick to the NFL.

They beat 3 BCS conference teams (OOC) in the regular season and went undefeated, more than USC can say. They also beat ORst, again something USC cant say.

Quit trying to make yourselves feel better. Alabama got trounced. You guys played awfully. You could not protect your own quarterback and you could not run the ball. You guys got dominated, but not because utah is amazing. They beat an ailing michigan team, but that this it. They are a nobody.
It isn't that Utah should be #1, it is that Alabama got outplayed and outcoached, and should not be a top-ten team

I still can't do it. That was their first road game against a ranked opponent and only their third ranked opponent all season. Being in the Mountain West for them to get number 1 they need to start scheduling a tough out of conference schedule, kind of like Fresno State usually does most years. They did play Michigan but that team was just horrible this year. They also had Utah State, Weber State and Oregon State. If Florida wins the championship, it will be their 6th ranked opponent and the Ole Miss loss is not looking nearly as bad as it did when it took place. If Oklahoma wins, it will be their 7th ranked opponent of the season. I have to give it to the team who played tougher opponents all year. To get beat uo week in and week out and only have one loss is more impressive to me. Utah played a great game bu they need to strengthen their schedule.
