…and we (LSU) didn’t.

Terrible outcome aside – the merits of which are being discussed to death here – let’s not (Tiger fans) diminish Bama’s terrific season by taking pot shots at Saban, Wilson, Smith or Tide fans.

Yeah, the Tide played an awful game and were arguably not well prepared. And yeah, this may help the Tigers in the final recruiting push with kids who are considering both programs.

But the incessant drooling over this Bama loss is nothing short of schadenfreude of the highest order.

Bama’s down but not out and they deserve props for a great season.

You are accurate on that. However you are failing to include the FACT that Saban does not prepare teams well for Bowls...I still have Iowa flashbacks.

Getting bent over for the entire nation to witness, and blaming it on lack of depth (against Utah)? = failed season

I just watched the post game presser...that little prick doesn't have the balls to take any blame on himself ALONE. The closest he came was saying "we" in reference to the coaches -- TRANSLATION: somebody is going to get their arse fired to appease my ego.

Point taken. But that's Bama's problem now.

Thanks Garmisch. That was very nice of you. I have never seen so many threads on this board about us though. We were completely outcoached and outplayed tonight. I am still upset about it, but the sun will come up tomorrow. Great win in your bowl!

People like RobbBobb think going to the Peach Bowl is better than going to the Sugar Bowl, as he stated earlier. He truly believes that Saban is a worse coach than Miles, and that Bama's season was due to weak schedule (though LSU is in the same division and did much worse). He's a moron and a dime a dozen on the Rant. I don't know how he found his way over here.

You're right. The gumps haven't figured that out yet. Maybe they will understand one day.

Why the hell wouldn't we take shots at Smith, who celebrated like a 13 year old kid when he scored on us at LSU. I only wish i could have seen him cry since i already had to deal with them losing. Ever since he showed that lack of sportsmanship at tiger stadium when it (especially at the time wasn't considered an accomplishment we were playing horrible and had already lost what 2 or 3)

Schadenfreude.

Highest order.

And it makes our fan base look petty and vindictive. We got ours last year and now we're taunting Bama because they didn't get theirs this year? Even though they 1) beat us in a close game in our house (like we did to them last season) and 2) they won the West?

Kids celebrate when they're in the moment. If it's excessive it gets flagged. These guys beat us and won the division (see above). Why all the hate?

I guess it makes some of our fans feel better, but I don't understand it.

Alabama is the Notre Dame of the south, many people enjoy seeing them lose.
