just back from the Sugar Bowl

1. both fan bases were absolutely lame, and boring as hell. was talking on a friendly level with some bama fans behind me all game. They just vanished mid 4th qtr along with most bama fans, of course.
2. Bama was flat as hell and not ready to play. Get ready bama fans. Saban's bowl efforts are a very mixed bag.
3. bama fans are retarded in large. Booed every penalty and cried all game despite bama getting some absolute gift interference penalties in the second half. 1 of the 5 bama guys i was talking to had sense and admitted they got gifts. the other 4 blamed the 2nd half on the refs.
4. bama might be the weakest SEC bcs bowl rep ever.
5. terrible sugar bowl for local vendors. I talked to a restaurant guy, a bartender, a valet guy, 2 beer dudes outside, and a beer girl inside. All said it was a slow sugar bowl. Also, there were tickets everywhere. I paid $25 each for $95 face tickets.

Good game by the gumps. I called it. I said before the SEC the gumps would lose their last 2 games of the season. They laughed at me. Who's laughing now?

I just got back, too. I sat in the heart of the Bama fans while cheering for Utah. I got pretty sick of hearing that Alabama accent before the game even started. The Alabama fans I sat around were pretty dumb and the majority didn't have a very high football IQ. There were some empty seats in the Bama crowd - and a huge gap where Utah couldn't sell all of theirs. And the Utah fans chanted Urban Meyer's name before the game. That was funny.
I had a great time, especially when Bama fans whined and complained for 80% of the game.

my boss is a bama fan and by dec. 31st, he had 12 tickets. Said it was easier getting a sugar bowl ticket than getting tickets to the LSU/Bama game this year.

I disagree with this. It is splitting hairs I know, but it was more like with 4 mins left.
Totally agree, but maybe Utah is better than I thought. I know, I know, its Utah and they should not beat Bama no matter what though.

They looked very weak tonight. I don't think we would of beaten many of the teams we beat during the regular season tonight.
Do you know that you had idiots on this board saying that New Orleans didn't want Alabama fans money? Not that it had anything to do with it being slow. Hell, Utah did bring near the number Bama did and the economy is slow.

the Utah fans weren't as ignorant, neither were the Auburn fans at the the Auburn-LSu game this year. Neither were the Ole Miss fans i had to sit with at the LSU-OLE Miss game this year. Bama fans were out of touch with the reality of what is going on in the game from my observation.
At least they were fairly cordial.

And the entire section of Bama fans around me.
Also all the Bama fans around me got pissed off because I would call John Parker Wilson "Sarah Jessica Parker Wilson" and said "her" every time I talked about him. Wow, I'm lame. But it was still pretty funny.
