You should've hired him instead of Husky Harsin then.
Gus sucks. His apathy in recruiting and development started this ball rolling.If you knew jack shite you would acknowledge that. But you don't and you won't.

Stop pretending Alabama and Auburn are equal. He was a good coach for Auburn, he would not have been a good coach for Alabama.
If your AD had listened to me, you wouldn't have hired Harsin to begin with. But the fact you are using your former coach to try and put down the current Alabama HC only goes to highlight my point on how badly Auburn fricked up.
But good luck with Hooker Harsin. Surely he's just a few years away from proving everyone wrong.

Auburn fans thought Harsin was a great hire for the first year and a half. Completely misunderstood what he did at Boise St and never questioned why Boise St fans were happy he was hired away.

Mike Price was hired before the incident and fired after it despite it putting Alabama in a terrible position having to hire a coach after spring camp leaving only a former player who would step into the situation.
They didn't hire him after while having a normal coaching search possible.

For the most part, sure. He could always learn from his mistakes and improve, anyone can. But then so can any coach, which makes it silly to assume they will before they have. So what I do know is what he's done in the past.

If the OL penalties/problems aren't cleaned up, then Alabama is in for a long season. Alabama had well over 100 yards of offense called back, which is in addition to constantly putting things behind the chains due the penalty yards.
Personally, I will be surprised if they aren't considering the overwhelming majority of the problems were with 2 lineman, and when one of them was replaced Alabama scored 28 points in 6 minutes. Crazy what happens when runs aren't being called back.

If Freeze doesn't eventually work out it STILL doesn't mean it was Malzahn's time to go at Auburn. But it is way too soon to even debate this. That's why these kind of threads are asinine.

Yes. Doesn't mean it was time to move on from him.
He should never have been offered the huge extension in 2017 and we should've let the chip fall where they did.
He was a solid coach, but was never a top-10 coach as he was being paid.
