Are all these schools in the same classification? If not, how do they get selected?

The only schools in the same classification are LaGrange and Douglas, both in 3A.
I'm not privy to the selection process.

There are same classification matchups one in 3A and a couple 6A.
The teams are selected by a committee in early January. Basically right after the season, they start working on the next years matchups. They typically pick teams that have been successful at least the previous 2-3 years, teams that can financially support the classic (teams are basically required to sell their allotment of tickets to the game) and then regionally acceptable opponents, who also don’t play in the regular season. It’s a 2-3 month process

Looks like nationally ranked Milton (#6) plays Buford (#21) tomorrow (Friday) at 7:30 PM. It will be televised by GPB (at least in Chattanooga).

There's a phenomenon happening where so many of these south Georgia and middle Georgia high schools keep dropping further and further down in classification without anymore high schools opening in the county. Thomson used to be one of the swinging dicks of AAA back when there were only 4 As, and now they are playing AA out of 7 As.
It's a combination of rural counties not having nearly as many young people and metro Atlanta continuing to grow like a vine.

You ever try to get a chain gang gig for any of the college games?

I’ve done Berry College chain gang. Division 3 but I was able to work a playoff game at that level.
