If there is a thread already I am sorry. But if not does anyone have any information about what may already be happening besides subscribing to D1 Baseball?

Maybe start the discussion here?

LSU has two players:
Dallas Dale II -Outfielder (did not play this season)
Adian Moffet - RHP Relief Pitcher
Micah Bucknam - RHP Relief Pitcher

I thought Bucknham (however it’s spelled) hit the portal as well?

For UGA. Stolen from another board

transferring Out

P Blake Gillespie: Things just didn't really ever come together for Blake in his two seasons in Athens. He was pretty highly ranked prospect coming out of HS, ranked in the Top 300 and nationally and Top 30 in GA. A very intriguing prospect who is a cold arm guy, originally from Canada with really good stuff. He will garner a lot of interest from smaller schools. Finished with 19 IP and a 13.74 ERA at Georgia over two seasons.

P Will Pearson: Will pitched for three seasons at Georgia, collecting 70+ innings with a 5.00 ERA but did not make the roster this past year. Was at Georgia but did not make the active roster and will transfer out looking for a new home for his final year of eligibility.

P Jake Lankie: Lankie was a Class of 2023 signee who was also ranked pretty high (Top 300 nationally) but did not make the active roster this past season. He will transfer out looking for a new home.

P Ethan Sutton: Ethan Sutton, a Class of 2023 signee did make the roster but only made 3 appearances, pitching 2.2 IP with a 3.37 ERA. He was a Top 50 player in the state coming out of HS.

Transferring In

P Davis Chastain (Georgia State): Spent two years at Georgia State where he showed big time stuff. The numbers aren't pretty but the stuff is raw and powerful. He struck out over 1.5 batters an inning this year. Kind if similar take to that of Zach Harris last year. Raw stuff with a few years of eligibility. Expect him to be a bullpen arm here who can be a big strikeout guy. Two years of eligibility left.

P Justin Byrd (USC-Aiken): Two-way player who missed most of 2024 with an injury, we are bringing him in as a pitcher. Mid 90s stuff that should translate to this level well. Needs to throw more strikes but has upside to be another strikeout per inning type in the SEC. FB can put up to 96 when he needs to to but sits about 93. Two years of eligibility left.

3B Knox Bennett (Chipola College): Younger brother of Stetson Bennett, Knox hit .350/.483/.521 as a Sophomore at Chipola College this past season. He's a big guy who can play a corner IF spot. I don't personally love the tools or the profile to play here but I haven't really watched him in person or seen much from him. He will be a full walk-on and IO likely a depth piece. I would not expect him to come in and win a job.
