What you said is entirely irrelevant to promising players large amounts of money before they ever step foot on campus.
This whole ordeal is what will separate the good coaches from the great coaches in this era. Handling payroll and team culture. Someone with an NFL background probably has a head start. If you can't keep role players happy, your depth will suffer. When depth suffers, you lose in the SEC.

Which favors the young at heart. Old school head coaches are still railing over this version of NIL. I don't know many guys who want to keep re-recruiting players and counting heads after every practice.
I grew up going to horse auctions with my dad. It was a lot more fun bidding on the equine.
