"What time is it in Dallas?"
"10-9!"
UGA beat Texas in the 1984 Cotton Bowl 10-9. Texas was ranked #2 at the time and was beating UGA pretty handedly (9-3) with about 4 minutes left. UGA was 1 of 13 on third down and had crossed the 50 twice in the first 56 minutes of the game. UT forced another 3 and out and UGA punted the ball...and Texas fumbled it. 3 plays later John Lastinger ran around the right side and dove at the pylon scoring to tie the game and the PAT put UGA on top to stay. Had Texas managed to win that game they'd have been national champions....Miami beat #1 Nebraska later that night.
