You won't answer my questions because you can't.Georgia watched the playoffs last year because Alabama whipped that arse...AGAIN.....and made them sit home. SEC CHAMPS.....ALABAMA.....NOT UGA.

Good for you.

My view of he game is UGA had their one bad game of the year in the one game they couldn't afford a bad game. I'm sure you believe Alabama caused UGA to have a bad game. I'm sure you believe your special teams had more to do with a normally reliable kicker missing a FG or a muffed toss that was fumbled being "caused" by Bama's defense (even though it was a non contact fumble). I view those as mistakes, one which took 3 points off the board for UGA, the other which put 3 points on the board for Bama.

That's part of football. You can't afford to make more mistakes than your opponent when you are playing a good team. UGA made the mistakes and Bama got the win they deserved.

I also agree with the final polls which had UGA ranked as a better team than Bama. The voters there saw what I did. Bama won, but they won because of UGA making mistakes, not because they had a better football team.

Congrats for your win, but I think if you had to bet your house on a rematch of that game last year, you'd put your money on UGA winning just like I would.

Regardless I'm not as worried with this upcoming year. While I believe Deboer is a very good coach, he's not Nick Saban (nobody is). I feel he's going to be less able to pull out wins he shouldn't than Saban because Saban is the best ever. The other reason is that there's no single game that could sink your chance at the playoff with a 12 team setup. UGA can lose any one or two games next year due to having off days and still make the playoff. Last year the CCG was an elimination game, while every other game in UGA's season didn't matter (just like Texas didn't matter for Bama last year).. Now the CCG is just about getting a bye in round 1 if either team comes in with 1 loss or less.

And for better or worse, Kirby is quite good at getting his team to not have bad games in the playoffs (5-1 in playoff games) and in post season games in general (9-2 in all playoff and bowl games) with the only 2 losses happening in his first 3 seasons as a football coach, since having won 7 straight games).

This is why UGA fans aren't particularly worried about any games this season including Alabama. The one coach who made them worry retired and a slip up is no longer devastating to chances of winning a title. While winning a title is never a given, this is probably the best I've felt going into a season about UGA's title chances... ever.
