Honorable mention
Jackie Sherrill at State (1991-2000). Even though the last three years (2001-2003) went off the rails,State during the 1990’s was no longer anyone’s Homecoming opponent.
We became very competitive and during the stretch from 1997-2000 were really good and played for the conference championship in 1998.
This came on the heels of some really bad years between 1983 and 1990.
