When I was a freshman, you could smoke in the rooms at Rose. The housing application even asked if you wanted smoking or non-smoking roommates. The university banned smoking inside campus buildings the very next year, 1991.

Well see, I broke no campus policies because I was hanging out the window OUTSIDE the room.
