Ok I'll bite.

I think we're more upset at what might have been had the NCAA never subpoenaed Wade as a 'witness' for a case they were trying to prove against OTHER coaches (Self, Miller, the Duke and NC coaches, etc.).

Instead, they heard Wade talking about "deals". But THAT'S ALL IT FRICKING WAS - Talk. There was never any compensation or loans or money given to any recruit. That has already been proven.

Had the LSU Athletic administration waited just a ---- hair longer, they would not have had to let him go prematurely, and WW would still be in Baton Rouge. If Wade and LSU would have gotten in trouble - then WHYYYYYYYYYY is Wade coaching again ??????

That being said, what McMahon has done is truly remarkable. 2 SEC wins last year to 9 this year, an over .500 record, win over Kentucky and an NIT bid - after inheriting a program with no roster. I will give him a pass for now.

By the way, Self, Miller, Duke coach, et al, AAAAAAAAAAND their respective schools - got NOTHING. NO SANCTIONS, NO PENALTIES. In fact, I think Self got a lifetime contract.

All True.

Remarkable is an EXTREME overstatement. McMahon seems like a great guy but losing in the first round of the NIT is not remarkable. Its definitely a huge improvement over year 1 but its still below the expectations that Will Wade set at LSU. And don't give me any BS about what he inherited from Wade. That excuse is fine for year 1 but with the transfer portal and the way rosters turnover in college basketball year to year, its a lame excuse.

I think McMahon did just enough in year 2 to warrant a chance to prove himself in year 3. Its tournament or bust for McMahon next year. If he misses the tournament again, he needs to be shown the door.
