100%. What needs to happen is the legal protections to contract athletes but in some status that does not make them employees of the university. Essentially recreate the old scholarship limitations but within contract law so it is all hunky dory with our august liberal institutions.

Don’t spin this as liberal-conservative. I will remind you that the Supreme Court decision that cleared the way for NIL was 9-0 with Alito, Thomas, Barrett, Kavanaugh, Roberts and Gorsuch all in the majority.
