was getting fricked with by the Auburn administration before the start of the year and just gave them the lousy 2008 season as a way of saying, "I can build it up or I can break it down", then at the end of the season just said, "You'll pay me to leave or it will only get worse from here?"

I was talking with one of my neighbors who is an alum of Auburn and he said his circle of friends in Alabama are almost certain that's what Tubbs did.

It would fit. This is his version of holding up 6 and stomping the eye to Auburn.

Interesting take.

You have to wonder. Tubbs acted uncharacteristic this year. The whole mess with the offense was really weird to begin with. I mean, why hire a guy to come in and run a high school offense?

Maybe they made him get rid of Borgues and then Muschamp decided to leave after seeing the way things are run.
