It was just a rhetorical point that I obviously did not make very clear in the context of this situation. My poorly made point was just that when one young healthy person dies mysteriously, there is not as much of a microscope. Coroners and cops are not always great at pulling at loose strings. 2 humans die,(even when one is unborn) they start digging a lot more.

So what you're really saying is if a pregnant woman dies, police are going to look into the cause of her death much more?

Not sure about that. I think sudden death at a certain age is always a big clue that something may be up if the person had no known serious health condition. My dad was a coroner and any time someone died young and/or alone, he wouldn't just assume that it was natural causes.
