Georgia's talent advantage over other schools since 2019 has never really been in doubt.

Yet their record against a declining and retiring Saban (who according to many of you was not a good X&O's and gameday coach and I kind of agree with this) was only 1-3 against him.

How will you fair against a DeBoer led team who will undoubtedly hold a major X&O's advantage over you?

UGA has not been #1 in talent other than one season (2020). That season UGA was forced to use their 4th string QB most of the season due to covid sit-outs and injury. They also got hit by covid itself a few times.

2018 OSU had the highest talent composite (UGA was 3rd, behind Bama).

2017, 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023 Alabama had the highest ranking according to 247's talent composite.

So... basically your entire premise is incorrect.

UGA will likely do well against DeBoer for 2 reasons.

1. He's not the GOAT coach.

2. He's an unproven recruiter and over the next few seasons it's very likely UGA will start to have a talent edge over Bama.

The other thing is it really won't matter due to the 12 team playoff. It doesn't matter if UGA loses regular season games or SEC championships to Bama going forward, because UGA will likely still make the playoffs in a 12 team format. They would have made a 12 team playoff had it existed every season Smart has been there other than the first.

And Smart is .500 against Saban in the playoff, with the loss in OT and the win by 15 points.
