They are so intent on believing they’ll replicate whatever happened in the past. I’m sure Nebraska thought they’d stay on top forever, too. They also conveniently leave out that LSU’s done well in Tuscaloosa from the 80s til 1/9/12 when you consider that outside of the Les Miles years we were dog shite for most of them, save for a few with Saban.
Florida dominated us in the 90s too. That wasn’t fun, but it’s fun now. Florida fans actually have the ability to look at the upcoming season and not consider the past the same as the future. Bama fans do not have this ability. Maybe the school choice thing will make kids smarter.

What is going on in Baton Rouge? We just got our property tax bill for Tiger Stadium and it has really gone up. I don’t mind paying my share like I have all my life, but I do hope that money is going to a good cause, like expanding mental health services in Louisiana. That seems to be a big need.
