Not one of those things is a serious issue. The football grass thing has been discussed ad nauseum, we're getting grass in 2025. Congrats on the win, now shut the frick up.

1) What about baseball? My first game at the Disch was in 1985, and I remember being floored that they were dribbling baseballs on Astroturf. What is the rationale here?

2) Why are the “dirt” turf areas (bases, plate, warning track, etc.) maroon? I mean, again: What is the thought process?

The primary goal should be the field surface.
Just get natural grass.

It’s not like Austin is a place that has winter weather or other unusual challenges to growing grass.

What was the thought process behind the turf?
