Don't trust any snowfall predictions beyond a few days from computer-generated forecasts. The Weather Channel's forecasts are an assimilation of data from one computer model, and that's why the forecasts on their site change so quickly because those computer models run every 6 hours. We call them "crap app" forecasts. Those forecasts should only be used if you want a general idea of what's going on in the next 7 days.
