Having worked on live sports broadcasts, and knowing how difficult it is, doing this would make us much more of a joke than doing nothing.

Not showing anything is some high school stuff. Either too lazy or too cheap to do it.

It was done a while back. It wasn't great, but not bad. No commercials or the incessant jabber of announcers.
