You have been tampering with players since the 60’s. Nothing new, now other schools can tamper back without fearing of being investigated by the NCAA while Bama gets away with it. Just know that DeBoer isn’t Saban, and the portal is about to be open again. There are ways to restrict players for NIL purposes.

NIL contract is 3 years for player that plays for X team. Players transfers to another team in his 2nd year, and NIL company doesn’t release him from his contractual obligations. Then the NIL company schedule events that contradicts with his 2nd team football schedule, but falls in lines with X teams schedule. Either player fulfills his contractual obligations and attends events, or his gets sued for the remaining amount of his contract. This is not as simple as you think it’s going to be.
