Elko was the captain, heart, and soul of the first Ole Miss team to win a natty in a big 3 sports in the modern era. Tim will forever be a legend in Ole Miss baseball lore for a few reasons:

2022: On track to be a GS finalist having just won national player of the month for March and tears his ACL in the first April midweek game. Still attends every practice and game as the captain, and comes back a month later to do this in his first at bat: LINK Finishes the year near the top of the SEC in most offensive stats despite missing a full month and playing 2 more on one leg.

2023: Still captain, still one of the most dangerous hitters in the SEC, leads players only meeting midway through disappointing year, team turns it around, gets hot and wins the first natty in school history with Tim leading both on and off the field.

Both of these seasons have multiple exclamation points where when the team needed Tim, Tim delivered. He's the most clutch player I've ever watched in an Ole Miss uniform. He is an Ole Miss sports legend. That's why his statue was built in Oxford rather than outside of it. If you're too dense to understand it and want to focus solely on statistics, then feel free. It is still legal to be retarded in America.

The first step is acceptance.
